Family Saturday

This past Saturday, we spent some time together doing some fun things. 

First up was Tater's first Build and Grow class at Lowe's.  The classes are intended for older children, but since we knew that we would be there to help Tater, we figured that he would be able to do it and have fun.  The project was to build a race car and Tater was so excited that he was going to get to use a real hammer.

 We had a great time and plan on taking advantage of more classes in the future. 

After the class, we headed over the mall and were pleasantly surprised to find out that now have a kid play area. 

 We just had to drive a pretend car before we left the mall.  :)

 We stopped by our favorite bookstore to play with the trains. 

 After a fun morning, we went home, took a nap, and Dave headed off to work. When he woke up, Tater and I spent some time reading together at the library. 

I love spending time with my boys. 

Bounce Fun

Last Friday, we wanted to do something as a family and after a lazy morning, we decided to go to a place with lots of inflatables.  Tater loves to jump on the bed at home and he always has lots of energy, so we were pretty sure that he would love it.

We were right!  :) 

 He's still a little tiny for this part and Dave had to help him through it, but that didn't stop him from having fun.

What a great way to burn off some of his endless energy!!!

February 22-February 27

February 22:  Tater got new glasses. Same style, black frames.

February 22:  Hanging out with my two favorite guys.

 February 23:  Loved spending an hour and a half outside with the kids in the beautiful weather. Not loving the sneezing and itchy feeling from allergies starting.

February 23:  Dear 7 mile backup, You will not ruin my day!

 February 24:  Tater slept until 8:50, I fixed the boys french toast for breakfast, we have salsa chicken in the crockpot for lunch, and I just finished making rice krispy treats. It's been an awesome Friday morning.

February 24:  Took Tater to Bounce House today. He loved it!

February 25:  On our way to Tater's first Build and Grow clinic at Lowe's.

February 25:  Tater just asked "Why?" Is it really time for him to start that? :-)

February 26:  Sitting so patiently on our way to church today.

 February 26:  Started packing my things for the kiddos. Any guess what we are studying? (Not a letter.)

 February 27: Tater got sick this morning as we pulled into J and B's neighborhood and has been sick three more times this morning after we got home. Thankful for J and B's Papa for coming to the rescue and watching the girls so that I could take my sick boy home.

February 27:  Someone seems to be feeling better.

February 27:  Just finished having a supper picnic on a blanket in our living room with my boys. :)

Valentine's Day Pancakes

If you know my boy, you know that pancakes are one of his favorite things to eat.  He would seriously eat them at every meal if we let him. 

For Valentine's Day, I decided to give my little love exactly what he loves.  I'd seen an idea on Pinterest for how to make special Valentine's pancakes and it turned out perfectly for our special supper together. 

Along with his pancakes, he had yummy strawberries and pink yogurt. 

I feel so lucky to be able to have him as my special little Valentine. 

V Week

The week of Valentine's Day, we skipped a few letters in our alphabet study and worked on the letter v.
