I'm Going to Get You

Tonight, while Daddy was at the store picking up wipes, N finally learned how to "play" the I'm Going to Get You game.  He will laugh and crawl away from you and squeal with delight once he's been caught and, if Mommy is chasing him, tickled.

When Daddy got home, we had to show him our new game.

Zoo Trip with Marleen

Our good friend Marleen is here for the weekend and we couldn't be happier.  She used to live just a few miles away and now she lives many states away and it makes me sad.  I still remember the day that we packed her car and said our goodbyes almost 2 years ago.

When she got here yesterday evening, N and I went out to see her.  Within 30 seconds of meeting her, N was reaching out to her, wanting to be in her arms.  Needless to say, N is already in love with his Marleen.

Today, we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and spend a few hours at the zoo, our favorite place.

A white rhino.

The mamba (our favorite snake)

Look at how big that snake is!

The leopard

Chilling in his stroller as we stroll through the zoo.

Silly pics with my boy.

He was so exhausted at this point.  He had skipped a nap and was sooo worn out.  We left within 10 minutes of this picture and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep on the drive home.

This may be my new FAVORITE picture of me and my boy.

How to Feed the Tater

How to feed a Tater (also known as N):

Step 1:  Load his spoon with yummy food.

Tonight's specialty:  Cheesy chicken, broccoli, and rice bake.
(also known as Mommy and Daddy's supper)

 Step 2:
Carefully hand the spoon to the Tater.

Step 3:  Watch as he eats it all by himself.

Step 4: Laugh at the food that is stuck to his lip as you give him another spoonful.

Step 5: Watch as he gets every last piece of food off of the spoon.

Step 6: Slowly realize that your little man is growing up way too fast.
