My Boys

When we had our anatomy scan and got our pics of our second baby boy, I instantly thought of the ultrasound pics we have of Nate. We were lucky to get pictures of Nate as he grew and developed and I treasure them, knowing that even while he was tiny and developing, God had a plan for his life, a plan that allowed Dave and I to be his parents.

I love that we have pictures of both of our boys, the one that I'm growing in my belly and the one that grew in another Jennifer's belly. I'm amazed at God's plan.

It's A ......

After our anatomy scan, we wanted a fun way to announce the gender of the baby to our family. We let Nate pick out a pinata and filled it with candy that was the color that matched the gender. We went over to Grandma and Papa's house, had Aunt Lisa join us (who took all of these pictures),  and got a few people on Skype.

Love this shot of the boy with us working on connecting with families on the iPads.

As you can tell, someone was ready to get the party started.

 Let the pinata beating begin!

Nate was needing a little bit of help, so Dave stepped in to help.

 BLUE!!!!!  It's a boy!

And just for proof, here's the picture we received from our anatomy scan. It leaves little room for error, in my opinion.

Anatomy Scan

On September 9, we had our 20 week anatomy scan. While I was super excited to see whether our little person was a boy or a girl, I was nervous. Because this pregnancy was the last thing we had expected, I had not been on any type of prenatal vitamins during the first 7 weeks of pregnancy. To make it worse, I had been taking an anti-anxiety med to help with my stomach issues I had after I had my gallbladder removed. While the drug had not been linked to any definite birth defects, it is one that "could" cause issues. I was anxious to see our little one on the screen and make sure that everything was okay.

Love the little profile. What I love even more is that we have a profile picture of Nate that looks almost identical to this.

The baby would stretch their legs out and sit in me as if I were their personal recliner.

 Leg and foot
 Beautiful perfect little spine
 Arm
 Hand with all 5 fingers
The creepy 3D pics of the face.
Putting their hands up (like an x) so that we couldn't see their face
Sweet little foot with five little toes
We were so happy to hear that everything was perfect with our little miracle baby.
