Summer Camp
Thought I'd share the cell phone pictures I took while we spent a week at summer camp with the teens.
Tater was showing the teens the proper way to use the broom.

You can't have senior high camp without Mr. Pete's rolls. Yum, yum!

He loved the pool!
Testing out the water.
Camp naps are the best.
Our new worship leader.
Ayla listening to the morning announcements from Uncle Dave.
You have to be creative to have baths at camp.
Camp wore this little guy out.
Chocolate cake is always yummy.
Reading together.
Napping while the big kids were in class.
Learning how to use the water fountain.
Watching some Mickey Mouse before taking a nap.
More pool time
Reading with Daddy/Uncle Dave.
Nana came to visit one day and while she was there, she took the kiddos to get a treat from Sonic.
We had lots of time to hang out before breakfast each morning, so I tried out some fun hairstyles on Ayla. This was one of my favorites.
Tater loved hanging out with Chris.
Loved spending time with this little girl.
Swimming makes your thirsty.
Strawberry shortcake!
Worship
Early morning hang out time
These two left their mark with chalk.
So sweet!
Tater was loving the drums.
You're my brother, you're my friend!
Love this sweet smile.
Chris let him play a game on his phone.
I loved watching these two play together.
Our camp picture, taken after a fun game of mud kickball.

June 1-30
June 1: Happy Doughnut Day

June 1: How I spent a good portion of my night because of the tornados.

June 3: Nana and Dave have convinced me to let Tater's hair grow out a little.

Tater:Me George
He loves Curious George at the moment.
June 4: Working on Ms. Jen's Awesome Summer Camp plans for Tater and the McGirls ( 3 girls kindergarten-sixth grade).
June 4: As the Mommy of a biracial kiddo, I have a question. I've noticed that after Tater's boo boo's heal, the skin stays pinker and doesn't tan like the rest of his arms and legs. Is there something that I should put on or just leave them alone?
June 5: It's not even 8:30 and my hands are covered with chalk and I have dirt on the knees of my jeans. Love playing with these kids.
June 5: I'm scrolling through pictures in search of a cover photo since Facebook bumped me to Timeline. As the memories of Taters life show up on my screen, I feel like crying, not because watching him grow up makes me sad, but rather because he has brought us so much joy. I don't deserve such an awesome little boy and I thank God everyday for the blessing of being able to be called Mommy.

June 6: "Take picture, Mommy. Take picture."

June 7: Happy 9th Anniversary!

June 7: Had a great day with Tater, B, and J and an anniversary date with Dave. Tater left this afternoon to spend a few days with his Nana and Papa and the house just seems so empty without him. Better head to bed since we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow with a golf tournament.
June 8: On our way to the golf tournament.
June 8: Riding around at the golf course taking group shots.
June 8: Just talked on the phone with my little man. I miss him.
June 8: Dorks.
June 8: Dorks.
June 9: I have had a majorly lazy day. Even though I know I needed it (and deserve it), I feel guilty. I just keep telling myself to soak in the peace and quiet because camp, vacation, and my summer nanny job will soon take over.
June 11: So hard to believe that we'll be at camp next week.
June 12: Starting my list for what I need to pack for Tater and I for camp next week. Anything that you can think of that I might need to add?

June 12: Tater got his first tattoo.

June 12: Working on my packing list for camp.
June 12: Family game night.
June 13: Can't believe that tomorrow is my last day as J and B's nanny. :(
June 13: Our big helper

June 13:
Tater: He's my daddy.
Me: You're right. He's your daddy and he's my husband.
Tater: Why?
Me: Because I married him, so that makes him my husband and your daddy.
Tater: No, Mommy, no.
Me: What? What's wrong?
Tater: Me marry mommy.

June 17: Night before camp = not being able to fall asleep
June 17:
June 17:
Tater:What are you doing, Mommy?
Me: Trying to see what else we need to pack for camp. Can you think of anything we need to take?
Tater: Me! Take me to camp.

Tater: Me! Take me to camp.
June 20: Going to be a super hot day at camp today. :(
June 23: The amount of laundry that needs to be washed after the three of us spent last week at camp is overwhelming.
June 23: Tater is loving his $3 car mat we found at Goodwill this morning.
June 24: Love his curls.

June 25: A perfect night for this.
June 25: Lesson I learned tonight: Letting Tater ride the Log Flume in the front
with me vs. in the back with Dave results in a very wet Mommy and Tater.
June 26: I'm behind on so many things and just can't seem to catch up or find the energy to do so.
June 27: Playing checkers with my boys.
June 27: Is it possible to get acrylic paint out of clothing?
June 28: Tater woke up this morning asking to wear undies. We'll see how long it lasts.
June 28: My hair is getting pretty long. Thinking about letting it grow some more and then cutting it for Locks of Love.
June 29: Someone is pushing pretty hard.
