May 16: Swimming in the sand.

May 19:  After going to the groomers today, Annabelle was thankful to be headed home.

May 21:  While listening to K-LOVE Radio this morning on the way to J and B's, we heard them talking about Jesus dying on the cross during a music break. From the backseat, I heard Tater say, "Jesus died?" Ended up having a five minute conversation with him about God and Heaven. Love those moments. :)

May 21:  Oh yeah, just had a 20 minute dance party to the letter y song. I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to get it out of my head!

May 21:  I have so many ideas floating around in my head (and on my Pinterest account) for Tater and I do to this summer with the McGirls. I need to start getting our summer plans together. Hard to believe it's almost here.

May 22:

Tater: Me big?

Me: Yes, you are my big boy.

Tater: Chew gum now?

Totally forgot that I told him yesterday that he could chew gum when he was big. :-)

May 22:  We are playing outside and just heard a train. I asked them where they thought the train was going. J's answer - Target. :-)

May 22:  I know this may be weird, but the smell of sunscreen makes me happy.

May 29:  We are totally skipping the Z activities today and saving them for our rainy day tomorrow. We are outside enjoying the sun.

May 30:  I have even more proof that I'm not the perfect mom. I accidentally left Tater's two lovies at home this morning. He's currently on his bed crying for Monk Monk and Melmo. :( 

May 30:  Tater: Where Daddy?
Me: Daddy's at work.
Tater: No! No work. No bed. No house. No eat.Want Daddy home.

We're always telling him that we work so that he can have a bed, house, food, etc. :)

May 31:  Wish I could close my eyes and get back to my dream from last night.

Busy

It's been forever since I've updated and while I feel sad that I haven't kept up with things, we've just been so busy.  Since I last posted, I finished up my nanny job with B and J, went directly into a week of camp with high school kids, and today, my first week with the McGirls is coming to an end.  Needless to say, we've been busy and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.  As soon as the McGirls leave this afternoon, Tater and I have a lot of packing to do since we leave for vacation in the morning and I haven't packed a single thing so far!  I'm exhausted just thinking about it. 

I'm going to do my best to update.  I can't make any promises, though.  :)

Fun Run and 5K

A few weeks ago, Tater and Dave ran in a local race.  

Tater participated in the fun run.  

Let me just say that if your child is afraid of people in costumes then this race is not for them.  We should have thought about this before we registered him, but we thought he'd be okay.  Nana came with us and ran with Tater and she said that as soon as he saw the first costumed cow, he was done.  He clung to Nana and wanted nothing to do with the rest of the race. 

Here they are crossing the finish line.  As you can tell, he was not happy about the "moo cows". 

Nana, thank you so much for coming with us, running the race with Tater, and for protecting him from the moo cows.  :)

Tater got a medal for finishing.

I tried to get him to smile for me, but he was seriously concerned about the moo cows.  He kept clinging to us and looking around to see if they were getting close to him. 

After Tater's race, it was time for Dave to run his race.
