June 1: Happy Doughnut Day


June 1:  How I spent a good portion of my night because of the tornados.

 June 3:  Nana and Dave have convinced me to let Tater's hair grow out a little.

June 4:  Working on Ms. Jen's Awesome Summer Camp plans for Tater and the McGirls ( 3 girls kindergarten-sixth grade).

June 4:  As the Mommy of a biracial kiddo, I have a question. I've noticed that after Tater's boo boo's heal, the skin stays pinker and doesn't tan like the rest of his arms and legs. Is there something that I should put on or just leave them alone?

June 5:  It's not even 8:30 and my hands are covered with chalk and I have dirt on the knees of my jeans. Love playing with these kids.

June 5:  I'm scrolling through pictures in search of a cover photo since Facebook bumped me to Timeline. As the memories of Taters life show up on my screen, I feel like crying, not because watching him grow up makes me sad, but rather because he has brought us so much joy. I don't deserve such an awesome little boy and I thank God everyday for the blessing of being able to be called Mommy.

June 7: Happy 9th Anniversary!

June 7:  Had a great day with Tater, B, and J and an anniversary date with Dave. Tater left this afternoon to spend a few days with his Nana and Papa and the house just seems so empty without him. Better head to bed since we've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow with a golf tournament.

June 9:  I have had a majorly lazy day. Even though I know I needed it (and deserve it), I feel guilty. I just keep telling myself to soak in the peace and quiet because camp, vacation, and my summer nanny job will soon take over.

June 11:  So hard to believe that we'll be at camp next week.

June 12:  Starting my list for what I need to pack for Tater and I for camp next week. Anything that you can think of that I might need to add?

 June 13:  Can't believe that tomorrow is my last day as J and B's nanny. :(

June 17:  Night before camp = not being able to fall asleep

Me: Trying to see what else we need to pack for camp. Can you think of anything we need to take?

June 20:  Going to be a super hot day at camp today. :(

 

June 23:  The amount of laundry that needs to be washed after the three of us spent last week at camp is overwhelming.

June 25: A perfect night for this.

 June 25:  Lesson I learned tonight: Letting Tater ride the Log Flume in the front with me vs. in the back with Dave results in a very wet Mommy and Tater.

June 26:  I'm behind on so many things and just can't seem to catch up or find the energy to do so.

June 27:  Playing checkers with my boys.

June 27:  Is it possible to get acrylic paint out of clothing?

June 28:  Tater woke up this morning asking to wear undies. We'll see how long it lasts.

June 28:  My hair is getting pretty long. Thinking about letting it grow some more and then cutting it for Locks of Love.

May 16: Swimming in the sand.

May 17: Only 3 hours of sleep last night. :-(

May 19:  After going to the groomers today, Annabelle was thankful to be headed home.

May 18: We caught an earthworm.

May 21:  While listening to K-LOVE Radio this morning on the way to J and B's, we heard them talking about Jesus dying on the cross during a music break. From the backseat, I heard Tater say, "Jesus died?" Ended up having a five minute conversation with him about God and Heaven. Love those moments. :)

May 21:  Oh yeah, just had a 20 minute dance party to the letter y song. I have a feeling that I'm not going to be able to get it out of my head!

May 21:  I have so many ideas floating around in my head (and on my Pinterest account) for Tater and I do to this summer with the McGirls. I need to start getting our summer plans together. Hard to believe it's almost here.

Tater: Chew gum now?

Totally forgot that I told him yesterday that he could chew gum when he was big. :-)

May 22:  We are playing outside and just heard a train. I asked them where they thought the train was going. J's answer - Target. :-)

May 22:  I know this may be weird, but the smell of sunscreen makes me happy.

May 29:  We are totally skipping the Z activities today and saving them for our rainy day tomorrow. We are outside enjoying the sun.

May 30:  I have even more proof that I'm not the perfect mom. I accidentally left Tater's two lovies at home this morning. He's currently on his bed crying for Monk Monk and Melmo. :(

Tater: No! No work. No bed. No house. No eat.Want Daddy home.

We're always telling him that we work so that he can have a bed, house, food, etc. :)

May 31:  Wish I could close my eyes and get back to my dream from last night.

 May 15:  Tonight, while saying prayers with Tater we prayed for quite a few things, one of those being that Daddy would have a good night at work and make lots of tips. After I left the room, I was watching him on the monitor and I heard him say, "God, Daddy tips. Maymen. (Amen)."

April 15-30

April 15:  Enjoying lunch and a run through the sprinkler at Gramma and Papa's house.


April 16:  Tater and I found a caterpillar.

 April 16: Running in the fountains.

 April 17:  Nothing like having the "sounds of freedom" (jets flying directly over our house) for ten minutes at 5:15 this morning to get the adrenaline flowing.

April 19:  So tempting to spend money on going to the circus. Sooooo tempting....

April 19:  Second night in a row I've been in bed before 9. Second night in a row I'm still awake at 11 and can't fall asleep. Yuck.

April 20:  Decided that since it was midnight that I should try to sleep and then jets started flying directly over my house. Fun. :-[

April 21:  Enjoying my time with my boys at Busch Gardens. Love having passes. :-)

April 21:  Tater is in line for his first ride on the log flume. He's excited.
