Big Brother Class

On Tuesday night, Nate got to go to his big brother class at the hospital where Zachary will be born. He was so nervous as we pulled into the parking lot, but the lady teaching his class was wonderful with him and he was the only kid for the class, so he quickly warmed up. 

First, they showed him where Mommy would be staying after Zachary is born. He was quite enthralled with the bed that could move up and down and the chair that turned into a bed. He was not so thrilled about the fact that Mommy would be staying in the hospital at night and he wouldn't be able to stay with me. 

After seeing the rooms and getting a snack, we went into a classroom (which just happened to be the old nursery). On our way, we were even able to see two new babies. After watching a short video, Nate got to practice some big brother skills. He got to practice changing a diaper, not his favorite thing. 

He got to practice holding a swaddled baby. He was quick to tell the teacher that he knew how to hold babies because he had held Cupcake and his new cousin. 

Looking forward to seeing him with his baby brother. 

Adoption

Watching it takes me back to those first moments of seeing Nate, of hearing his cry for the first time, of holding my baby boy and trying to memorize his face. It reminds me of the excitement and anticipation we felt driving to the hospital early that morning. Love those moments and pray that they will always be fresh in my mind.

I love how Nate's adoption is, just as they say in the video, a human example of being adopted into the family of God. We pray that one day, he will make that decision and be adopted for a second time, this time into an eternal family. :)

July Cell Pics (Part 1)

Just some more cell phone pics.



My boys on the Log Flume at Busch Gardens.

 Just spending some tummy time reading some books.

 We met up with Cupcake's Mommy on the 4th of July and while Cupcake spent time with her Mom, Nate ran through the sprinklers.

 He enjoyed some yummy dessert with Papa later that night.

 Nate, Cupcake, and I took a trip to the farm and this little guy napped on the way there.

 On our way to the farm, we stopped and saw Nate's cousin Ayla. As you can tell, he loves her.

 Sick. Thankfully, we were at Nana and Papa's and they stepped up and took care of the kids while I felt super sick.

 Nate went to the fair with Nana while I was sick. I was so bummed to not be able to go, but he had a blast.
