So, we got some good news today. N continues to have scores below 8 (mainly 7's) and if he can keep it up tonight, they are going to bump the time tomorrow! Here's the best part....if they can and if he seems okay, they are possibly going to skip the every 8 hour routine and go straight for the every 12 hour routine!!!!!!! This could possibly save us two days in the NICU and he could be home soon, sometime probably close to the end of next week. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's hard. All of the nurses and doctors are talking about him going home soon and it gives me such hope. One of the nurses that we really like, Melissa, told us that this weekend could very well be our last weekend in the NICU. It almost doesn't feel real.
They weighed him tonight and he weighed in at 8 lbs. 1.2 oz. :)
Headed to bed, trying to soak up as much sleep as possible before he comes home.

Yay!! I HATED the weekends in the NICU. The floor seemed quieter and eerier than it did during the week. We're keeping our fingers crossed for you all. Hugs!!
