My summer has come to an end. I'm headed back to work after a long and glorious summer break. I'm so thankful that I'm able to be a teacher. I get to do something that I have a passion for and the job has lots of perks. Yes, I work like a dog sometimes and sometimes it's stressful. I spend countless hours doing school work at home. I do LOTS of school work outside of my "paid" hours. I have to deal with some parents that aren't nice or parents that don't work with their children and I have to work with some students that are not easy to teach, but when it comes right down to it, I love it. On top of that, I get to have my weekends off, holidays off, weather days, breaks, and more. I get to work decent hours and have a wonderful summer vacation. While I won't have my kindergarten students until the 23rd, this week will be full of lesson plans, decorating, organizing, and lots of other fun teacher stuff.
N will be going to spend Mondays through Wednesdays with our friend Shannon. What's neat is that I actually kept Shannon's son, B, when he was N's age. B is now 4 and is the funniest little boy ever. I'm excited that N gets to spend time with them and I am not worried in the slightest. N will spend Thursdays with his Daddy and spend Fridays with his Trish! :) I am sad that I won't get to spend my entire days with him, but I know that I must work in order to provide for him and that it will be okay. I also know that it will make me appreciate the time I get to spend with him and make it even sweeter.
So...our bags are packed and ready for our first day of getting into a routine. :) Here we go.....
