N had his first real bowl of rice cereal today.
We gave him a small taste a few weeks ago when he was sick. I was hoping that it would help give him something solid in his tummy, but instead, it just made things move faster, if you know what I mean.
Needless to say, we didn't give him any more cereal for the three weeks that he had an upset stomach with the yucky virus he had. By the way, the tests that they ran on him while he was sick all came back negative. :)
So, now that he's back to normal, we decided that today would be the big day. I fixed an ounce and a half of formula and mixed it with the rice cereal until I got the texture I wanted. I figured he wouldn't eat it all, but it was better to have it ready just in case. I'm glad that I fixed it all. I couldn't get it into his mouth fast enough. He would suck it off of the spoon and then groan for more until he got his next spoon full. He ate the ENTIRE bowl that I had fixed!!!!! He finished it off with two ounces of regular formula.
(His eyes are red in these pictures because when he saw me fixing him food, he decided that he wanted it right that very second and wanted to let me know how upset he was that I was taking longer than what he wanted.)
After he finished, I decided to take his dirty bib off, but I had to snap a silly picture before I did.
