Dave ran a race the last weekend in March and because the race was about an 1 1/2 hours away from our house, we decided to spend the night in a hotel close by.
Before we left that Friday, we ran a ton of errands and Tater was exhausted.

After we got to the hotel, Tater got on his swimming suit and was excited to check out the pool with his new friend, Mr. Turtle.

The pool experience didn't last long after he fell through Mr. Turtle a few minutes into his swim. He went under the water and it scared him. :(
The next day, Dave left for the race and Tater and I stayed behind at the hotel. The race was held downtown and I knew that entertaining him there with tons of people around for the entire race would be no fun for me. We had planned on swimming, but after his scare the night before, he wanted nothing to do with the pool that day. Thankfully, a children's museum was right around the corner from the hotel.
Tater and I rode the train that they have inside the museum.

He loved this rock climbing wall and slide.
He played in the sand (and proceeded to make sand fly everywhere. haha)
And he painted in the art room.

After Dave got back, we headed home. What a fun little weekend for our family.
