Dear Ryan Robertson Woolfolk,
Today, we celebrate your birthday and think about your life, a life that you no longer live here on earth, but rather in heaven with our Savior. While we will never understand why you had to leave us when you did, we know and trust that God's plan is always better than our plan, that even though we would love for you to be with us, heaven is where you are and how awesome it must be.
I have so many memories with you, memories of babysitting you on Easter mornings while your mom and dad went to the sunrise service, eating lunch together on Sundays after church, putting on shows for our families at Memaw and Papa's house, playing basketball in your basement, swimming in the pond, and more. Those were fun times, times of being innocent and so free, times when life was easy and full of fun moments.
Wish that we could get together and have a Ukrop's cake and celebrate your birthday. We'd all fight over who would get the rose. I guess we'd have to give it to you since it's your birthday. :)
When I heard that it's supposed to storm here later today, I smiled. I have a feeling that after the storm, we'll see a rainbow since rainbows always seem to remind us of you. I think of you every time I see one, even when it's not your special day.
Happy Birthday, special cousin!
Love,
Jen
