St. Patrick's Day Week

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day the week before the holiday.  Our week was filled with rainbows (reviewing our colors, too), pots of gold, shamrocks, and little men dressed in green.

We went on a green search!  Look at what we found.
We made a rainbow in the jar.
Tater loved watching the colors mix.
Mixing blue and yellow paint to paint our shamrocks.

We used cookie cutters to make these shamrocks.
We love taking walks when the weather is this beautiful.
Working our fine motor skills by placing the markers in the tubes.

 Step three:  Let them dry.
Step four:  Cut into beautiful shamrocks.
We played in the grass and loved feeling the grass between our toes.
A little prewriting practice.

We put our beanbags in the order of the rainbow.

 Playing with green jello.
(Let me give a warning.  The kids loved this activity and it smelled great.  They played for over 30 minutes and they were full of giggles.  HOWEVER, it made their hands green and their hands stayed green for about 24 hours.)

We finished off our week with a special treat after lunch.  Rainbow sherbet.
 Good to the last drop!!!
